About Me
Hi — I'm Jason Self. I maintain this site to write about what I'm thinking about and share other free-as-in-freedom things (software, stories, etc.)
I proudly serve as co-maintainer of GNU Linux-libre, along with Alexandre Oliva. It's the freedom-respecting version of the kernel named Linux. Additionally, I held the position of Chief Webmaster for the GNU Project.
I founded the Worldwide Public Domain Dedication (WPDD) and also volunteer as a "Freedom Verifier" for GNU+Linux distributions that seek endorsement on gnu.org/distros.
I also cofounded LibreWRT, which later merged with libreCMC.
I love meeting and talking with people so don't hesitate to contact me. If you're in the Seattle area or will be attending one of the conferences I go to I'm more than happy to meet in person as well.
