Linux-libre version 4.1 will reach end-of-life next month, in
September.

If you're using this version now would be a good time to review the
currently supported versions and make appropriate plans to move to a
newer one so as to continue to receive updates and support.
Information about currently supported versions can be found at [0].
Those using 4.1 and desiring to remain on an LTS kernel would do well
to upgrade to the current LTS version, which is 4.9. It's supported
until January 2019.

In other news, Linux-libre version 4.14 has been selected as the next
long-term support kernel. This is expected to be released in or
around November and supported for at least two years.
